An open-air, nostalgic classical night.
Philippe Jordan, described as the maestro taking French music to new heights, leads a performance featuring works by three of France's most celebrated composers. The evening starts with Saint-Saëns’ dramatic Bacchanale from Samson and Delilah, followed by Jean-Yves Thibaudet performing Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G. After intermission, the Los Angeles Philharmonic performs Ravel’s La valse and Debussy’s Clair de lune, concluding with the powerful build-up of Ravel’s iconic Boléro.
