Grass Roots
An underground jazz night.
Grass Roots is a monthly live music event dedicated to supporting young and emerging London-based jazz artists, held at The CLF Art Lounge's Pop Up space in Peckham on the first Thursday of every month. In July, the event features East London-based jazz vocalist Taylor Mitchell. Currently studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Mitchell's style is inspired by Nancy Wilson, Cécile McLorin Salvant, and Minnie Riperton, blending traditional jazz roots with contemporary storytelling. Having performed at the EFG London Jazz Festival and various renowned clubs like Vortex and PizzaExpress Soho, she performs here with her quartet, exploring jazz standards and original compositions.
