Kenan Flannery & The Bandit Queen of Sorrows
An underground, gritty dark folk night.
Hailing from Dublin, Kenan Flannery is a songwriter for the damned and the broken. With a voice that hits with the intensity of a hundred Irish poets and a sound rooted in the raw authenticity of the folk tradition, Kenan weaves the storytelling legacy of The Dubliners with the grit of Townes Van Zandt and John Prine. Joining him is Leslie Fox-Humphreys—The Bandit Queen of Sorrows. A poet, multi-instrumentalist, and veteran of the rails, she crafts a soundscape of dark folk, blues, and 1920s jazz. This uniquely intimate matinee at London’s iconic Green Note is a rare, candlelit gathering of two modern-day troubadours on a shared stage for the very first time. With both artists making their debut at the venue, this promises to be a powerful, one-of-a-kind afternoon of music.
