Mozart & Brahms
An open-air classical night.
Spanish conductor Roberto González-Monjas reunites with the Los Angeles Philharmonic for his debut at the Hollywood Bowl. He will lead Brahms’ fourth and final symphony, a work described by critic Eduard Hanslick as profound and tragic. Joining him for his own Bowl debut is 27-year-old pianist Mao Fujita, who will perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 19, noted for its complex and gracefully unfettered finale.
