The program features the Los Angeles Philharmonic joined by cellist Zlatomir Fung in his Bowl debut, performing Tchaikovsky's graceful Variations on a Rococo Theme. Austrian-Armenian conductor Emmanuel Tjeknavorian also makes his debut, opening the evening with the dramatic Gayane suite by Khachaturian, a powerful story of resilience in the Armenian countryside.
