Following a break lasting more than ten years, the Brixton-based group Abakush has returned with a refreshed appearance, updated sound, and a powerful message. Originally formed in 1981, this nine-piece ensemble blends elements of Jazz, Soca, and Gospel into their primary reggae sound. Formerly known as Abacus and Abakush, the group now performs as Kush Abakush, honoring both paternal and ancestral roots through its name.
