Cinemanita & Fiber Factory
An underground, homegrown ambient night.
Every week for the last 19 years, de Nieuwe Anita has presented Cinemanita, a film night hosted and programmed by the eccentric Jeffrey Babcock. While most of the films shown are vintage, they remain strikingly relevant today. Following the screening, the evening continues with a different guest DJ providing the musical backdrop. Alongside the film, Fiber Factory hosts a weekly textile art club. Participants can join this creative community to work on projects with donated yarn. Guidance is available for beginners, and advanced crafters are welcome to enjoy the social atmosphere and browse inspirational books. Materials such as wool and needles are provided for use during the session.
