Cuban-American saxophonist David Leon presents his newly-formed quartet featuring Brandon Seabrook, Henry Fraser, and Kayvon Gordon. A 2025 Jerome Artist Resident, Leon is known for his unique vocabulary on the saxophone, blending Cuban folkloric traditions with Free Jazz and avant-garde aesthetics. His music has been described as intricate and sly, and he has collaborated across a diverse spectrum of genres from balkan brass to Latin pop. Two sets are available for this performance at 7:30 PM and 9:00 PM.
