Founded in 1966, Canned Heat rose to prominence through their profound appreciation and knowledge of blues music. The band achieved global success with rock classics like “On The Road Again,” “Going Up The Country,” and “Let’s Work Together.” They cemented their place in music history with iconic performances at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival and a headlining slot at Woodstock in 1969. After nearly sixty years and forty albums, the group continues to perform, led by long-time drummer and band leader Adolfo “Fito” de la Parra. The current lineup features New Orleans legend Dale Spalding on lead vocals, harmonica, and guitar, alongside bassist Rick Reed and lead guitarist Jimmy Vivino, formerly the music director for Conan O’Brien.
