Konzerthausorchester Berlin, RIAS Kammerchor Berlin, Justin Doyle
Konzerthaus Berlin, Gendarmenmarkt 2, 10117 Berlin, Germany
In 1761, Prince Esterházy requested a symphony cycle based on the times of day from his newly hired court musician, Joseph Haydn. The result was a trilogy of symphonies—Morning, Noon, and Evening—that showcased the orchestra's exceptional skill. The Konzerthausorchester and Justin Doyle perform Symphony No. 8 ("Le Soir"). This Haydn-focused program concludes with the "Schöpfungsmesse" (Creation Mass), composed in 1801 for the Prince. Note: Justin Doyle replaces Joana Mallwitz for this performance.
