'A la cubana' is a live presentation of the debut album by guitarist Nikos Baroutsakis, paying tribute to Cuban guitar music. Inspired by the Buena Vista Social Club and recorded at Abbey Road Studios, the performance features a repertoire of Cuban works, including pieces by Lecuona, Brouwer, and Eduardo Martin. This performance is part of the 2026 London Classical Guitar Festival. Born in Athens, Nikos Baroutsakis is a classically trained guitarist whose work spans various musical interests. He has performed at prestigious London venues such as the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, collaborating with diverse artists from folk singer Savina Yannatou to jazz guitarist Alex Roth.
