An open-air classical night.
South Korean violinist Bomsori and German conductor Anja Bihlmaier reunite at the Hollywood Bowl to perform Bruch’s rich First Violin Concerto. The program also features Dvořák’s joyful Eighth Symphony, celebrated for its Bohemian folk melodies and spirited finale. The evening opens with 'beyond the beyond' by the late Sarah Gibson, a former teaching artist for the LA Phil’s Composer Fellowship Program. The piece was completed by Gibson’s piano duo partner Thomas Kotcheff following her passing.
