Welcome back Zachary Levi, I saw you last month,…. You are a very bad actor and really need to stop trying to be a thing. Which sucks when he is the lead. Angel and the morbman. I swear this script was Ai generated to be a western Christian film. Like it’ll randomly do things to make it a Christian film and it’s always cringe when it forcing the message down your throats. Also the film thinks it’s the funniest thing to ever exist and there’s a random old lady that says random lines of dialogue that the movie thinks is funny. I was bored to tears watching this. Kino studios try harder.

I know this is a remake of the classic John Wayne western, but I haven’t seen the original, so I don’t l have anything to compare this new version to. Personally, I really like westerns, and I wish more people enjoyed them because I’d love to see more of them being made.With Angel And The Badman, it’s not anything particularly outstanding, but I did enjoy it.The film is headlined by Zachary Levi, Neal McDonough, and even Tommy Lee Jones. It’s feel-good, it has charm. It features some sweeping landscapes, which is what I love most about westerns. There’s something about those wide-open vistas that I find so… relaxing.This isn’t a gun-heavy western. Instead, it focuses on the story of an outlaw seeking redemption. And, being an Angel Studios film, it naturally has faith-based elements woven into the story.It’s without a doubt a cookie-cutter western. It doesn’t do anything particularly new for the genre. Not much that’s fresh or groundbreaking. That’s not entirely surprising, considering it’s a remake.But if, like me, you enjoy westerns and you’re just looking for something to whet your appetite, Angel And The Badman isn’t a terrible option.Sometimes, a straightforward western with beautiful scenery, a redemption story, and a few familiar faces is enough to scratch that itch.Final Score: 7/10*2026 Movies Ranked*Ranking Angel Studios Movies
