Powerfully enlightening and so beautifully shot: crisp and intimate nature cinematography, a joy to watch and certainly a recommendation for those interested in rewilding, as well as the ongoing discussions on land ownership and the preferential debates on how land should be treated, maintained, and treated. A wonderfully fresh piece of documentative cinema.
Derek vs Derek follows two neighbouring farmers in the English countryside with completely opposing views on land management, pitting intensive dairy farming against rewilding and ecological restoration.
James Dawson directed Derek vs Derek, a 2027 British documentary exploring the friction between traditional agriculture and conservation.
