I loved this brilliant movie. It’s smart and trippy and aggressive and funny and ambitious. It’s worth making the time see and decide for yourself what you make of it.For me? 10/10
Fossil Fools was hackneyed 25 years ago when it was an independent minimalist production, and I can't even begin to express my misgivings with a Kenny Rockwell-funded larger-than-life mega-production where the overblown sets and special effects scream louder than the actors ever could. We get it - Compson was a buffoon! Rockwell was a sociopath! Do you have anything else to say?!But with that said, it's pretty evident that Curtis Markson is our Last Theatre Star. He gives his all in this damn play, and there are a few key moments where it really soars. Shoutout to the guy who played Ganesh too - a shoo-in for a Tony if those were still a thing.
