Evidently, female-directed Frankenstein comedies are hardly a new thing. I doubt Maggie G.’s latest has as many quality boobies, though. I’m rather convinced by this that adding a peeler joint to a GH would boost surgeon morale and save lives. Sometimes thinking outside the box is healthy.
This thing really wants to be Young Frankenstein but with the setting repurposed into a late 80s soap opera pastiche, but it spends so much time with Mark Blankfield’s Dr. Frankenstein, and I don’t know why because he’s pretty boring as a performer.I’m floored he didn’t even write this script that has multiple women throwing themselves at him, comedic bits that all center around him, multiple parodies of the James Whale Frankenstein films, and it’s like—uh, for this guy? What was going on in 1988? Was everyone else busy? I feel like we could have seen Andrew Dice Clay’s take on Dr. Frankenstein. Or Sam Kinnison. Let’s go full brain dead on this. You guys know it’s called Frankenstein General Hospital, right? I think the permission is implied.
