it might be neither good nor bad — it’s just somewhere in between. What surprised me most was the writing. Jason clearly has the potential to be a master storyteller, but here the writing felt far too weak to carry the movie. At this point, I honestly feel Jason should take some time off — either assist another director, learn, experiment, and come back stronger, or simply take his time before his next film. From the interviews he has given, it’s evident that he has the calibre and ideas. Now he just needs to figure out how to implement them on screen. The potential is there. The execution needs work.
The narrative follows a rogue treasure hunter navigating deadly traps and double-crosses in pursuit of a massive score.
