Exploring the 'sturm und drang' movement of the 1760s, a period when music embraced powerful emotions and radical change. The Academy of Ancient Music, led by Laurence Cummings, performs works by a young Haydn and Mozart alongside discoveries by Philidor and a tragic retelling by the 84-year-old Telemann. This performance showcases a dynamic age of musical reinvention and passion.
