A nostalgic, underground swing music night.
At Limehouse de Reverie, Ewan Bleach performs with residents The Cable Street Rag Band. Formed at the Cable Street studios in Limehouse, this old-style jazz band specializes in rags, blues, song-book foxtrots, and swing. Their diverse repertoire also includes waltzes, beguines, tangos, and polkas dating from the 1850s to the 1940s. The group's style is heavily influenced by Django Reinhardt, the Manouche tradition, and Eastern European and Klezmer music, alongside classic swing hits. The evening begins at 7:00pm with a pre-gig dance class hosted by Lesta from Dis Swing Thing.
