A nostalgic, danceable swing music night.
At Limehouse de Reverie, Ewan Bleach performs with residents The Cable Street Rag Band. Formed at the Cable Street studios in Limehouse, the group specializes in rags, blues, song-book foxtrots, and swing numbers. Their extensive repertoire spans from the 1850s to the 1940s and includes waltzes, beguines, tangos, and polkas. The band's musical style also incorporates influences from Django Reinhardt, the wider Manouche tradition, and Eastern European and Klezmer styles. They are known for performing classic swing hits, including those by the legendary Barry Sisters. The evening begins with a pre-gig dance class hosted by Lesta from Dis Swing Thing.
