An underground, slow-burn folk night.
Experimental folk singer-songwriter Biita Houdei presents her latest album This Bed Was Made For Me at Lab Grounds. Tickets on Mood.
Experimental folk singer-songwriter Biita Houdei comes to Lab Grounds for her only performance in the Netherlands. Formerly known as LéPonds, the Woodstock-based artist brings together her Persian heritage and American upbringing in intimate, emotionally charged songs. During the Rotterdam concert, Houdei presents her latest work, This Bed Was Made For Me. Her music moves through dreamy folk, suspenseful arrangements and unexpected turns, led by a highly personal guitar style she developed intuitively from a young age. After releasing three albums under her former name, Houdei begins a new chapter with music rooted in tradition but never restricted by it. Fans of Haley Heynderickx, Jessica Pratt, Fleet Foxes and Grizzly Bear should feel at home in her atmospheric sound.
The performance is scheduled for October 20, 2026, at Lab Grounds, located at 's-Gravendijkwal 58-b, Rotterdam.
She plays experimental folk characterized by intricate acoustic guitar fingerpicking and Persian-influenced vocal melodies.
