Sammer’s musical odyssey began in the ancient embrace of Alexandria, Egypt, where he absorbed the city’s rich cultural and poetic tapestry. Fuelled by a quest for freedom and a love for music, he set sail for Europe, carrying the echoes of legends like The Beatles, Abd Elhalim Hafiz, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Django Reinhardt, , Baligh hamdy , Sayed Darwish, Led zeppelin and Bob Dylan. Growing up in Egypt, Sammer developed a profound connection with various artists, each from diverse backgrounds, shaping his artistic ethos. The guitar became his natural extension, a medium through which he expressed his soul. Writing and composing in both Arabic and English, Sammer’s lyrical exploration transcends linguistic boundaries. His musical research delves into innovation, respecting the legacy of his masters while infusing personal interpretations of blues, jazz, and psychedelic rock. The result is a harmonious fusion of original sounds intertwined with his cultural roots, creating a musical experience uniquely his own. In February 2023, the world witnessed the birth of Sammer’s inaugural album, “Searching for a Meaning,” a testament to his artistic journey and a promise of more sonic adventures to come.
