The album was recorded and produced in Athens by Vasilis Nissopoulos, a close creative collaborator of Stratos Kiris since the debut Ghost Flower, continuing their artistic partnership while capturing the blurred space between memory, desire, and personal transformation. Sonically, Am I In A Dream blends timeless melodic sensibility with restless noise, romantic introspection, and raw emotional energy, as if The Beatles, Radiohead, Belle & Sebastian, and the Velvet Underground met for drinks at a late-night Athenian bar. The cover artwork by Ira Stamatopoulou directly reflects the dreamlike atmosphere and emotional intensity of the album.
