Starting out as a singer and songwriter at 16, her passion for techno was sparked by the raw energy of the local rave scene. Her journey truly began in Melbourne’s vibrant underground, where she lived for five years, quickly making a name as a DJ and promoter with open-to-close sets and forging her own dedicated following. Returning to Scotland during the pandemic, she brought her refined craft home, ready for a new chapter. Since her debut release in 2018, Mha Iri has forged a unique, a fusion of big-room power and emotional depth, often incorporating her own vocals and never afraid to experiment. Breathing fresh air into a well-trodden world, she’s become one of the genre’s standout names. In 2024, she signed to PIAS (UMG), delivered chart-topping releases on Drumcode, Filth on Acid, and Trick, and played iconic stages from Tomorrowland and Awakenings to Fabric and Hï Ibiza. With 2025 in full stride, releasing one techno banger after another and starting to tour across North and South America, Mha Iri continues to carve her own lane and shape the sound of modern techno.
