City of London Sinfonia

https://cityoflondonsinfonia.co.uk/ City of London Sinfonia (CLS) is a chamber orchestra with big ideas. Founded in 1971, we’ve grown into an award-winning, future-facing ensemble that makes music in concert halls, hospitals, care homes, schools, theatres, parks and beyond. For us, music is more than notes on a page; it’s a way to explore what it means to be human, to spark joy, and to connect with people in profound and unexpected ways. We perform world-class classical repertoire, create groundbreaking new commissions, and collaborate across art forms; from science and literature to theatre and visual arts. Our orchestra are not only exceptional musicians but also creative makers and partners, often working one-to-one with participants in healthcare and community settings, making music that transforms lives. At the heart of CLS are three strands: Productions - bold, interdisciplinary performances, Projects - life-changing music-making with communities, and Musicians - world-class artists who bring energy, curiosity and openness to every encounter. CLS performs for over 35,000 people each year, and our mission is simple: to make orchestral music relevant, inclusive, and transformative; always infused with wonder, joy, curiosity, and connection.
