Las Chorizeras
Las Chorizeras, is an all-Female Mariachi Fusion ensemble from Los Angeles. They incorporate traditional Mariachi instruments, like the guitarron, the vihuela and the violin, into their original music. You will hear elements of Country, Mariachi & Regional Mexican in their music, the result is a Regional Alternative - Mexican American sound. Las Chorizeras is in the Netflix Series The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 Finale. Currently Las Chorizeras are preparing to release their first debut EP self-titled “Las Chorizeras”. Las Chorizeras founder Nancy Sanchez is a natural songwriter and performer. She is also an award winning vocalist. Nancy was born in Toluca Mexico, but made her home in Southern California as a young girl. Her music is a reflection of these two cultures. One of Toluca’s most notable traditions is their famous chorizo recipes. In fact, many consider Toluca’s Chorizo the best in all of Mexico, and as an affectionate nickname people from Toluca are called “Chorizeras and Chorizeros”. Inspired by this fact, Nancy decided to name this project Las Chorizeras as a tribute to her hometown of Toluca Mexico.
