The Kruuk

The Kruuk is a young and high-energy rock band from Haarlem, Netherlands, keeping crowds awake at night since 2024 with razor-sharp guitars, humor, explosive energy, and a no-compromise attitude. Driven by an unstoppable passion for music, The Kruuk has quickly become a staple in the Haarlem music scene. Inspired by the rebellious punk spirit of The Clash and the high-volume sounds of Oasis, the band delivers catchy alternative rock with a healthy edge of contradiction. Their sound is loud, unfiltered, and packed with lyrics about life in all its chaos and honesty. The Kruuk kicked off their journey in 2024 with their debut single Going Mad, laying the groundwork for everything that followed. That same year, they reached the finals of the Popprijs Amstel- en Meerlanden, further cementing their rise. Since then, the band has made it their mission to tear through every venue, bar, and festival stage across the Netherlands. In 2025, The Kruuk introduced their new frontman, Jille van der Weerd, injecting a fresh surge of energy into the quartet. It wasn’t long before the band returned to writing alongside their relentless live shows, resulting in their new album You Shouldn’t Need It, preceded by the singles I Shouldn’t Need It and The Day The Sky Turned Black.
