Claire Chase is an acclaimed flutist, interdisciplinary artist, and educator known for her dedication to new and experimental music. A MacArthur Fellow and Avery Fisher Prize recipient, she has premiered over 100 solo flute works, often incorporating extended techniques and electro-acoustic elements. She is also a Professor of the Practice of Music at Harvard University and the founder of the International Contemporary Ensemble.
