An underground, raw jam band act.
ACE BANDAGE are a Brooklyn-based all-purpose DIY freak-rock quartet established in 2022 by guitarist/vocalist Jake Pepper (ex-Future Punx, Fergus and Geronimo, Frankie Rose), bassist/saxophonist Zach Koeber (ex-Archie Pelago), guitarist Kent Dunne, and drummer Taylor Harvey. Formed out of a mutual love of improv-based jam-rock and a simultaneous frustration with its relegation to hippie realms, Ace aims to to explore the untapped potential of the jam format via a growing repertoire of genre-spanning originals and covers, highlighting post-punk, indie, and alternative styles alongside the established canon in an effort to modernize and expand upon traditional notions of what a "Jam Band" looks and sounds like. With an ever growing vault of live recordings available on archive.org as well as the big streamers, new single “Be Deep” opens a more accessible angle to the ace-curious listener. Ace plans to release a single a month until the upcoming release of their debut studio album, “Way Beyond” in August 2025. “refreshing and fun... Ace Bandage may be the first post-punk jam band” -Ambient Audiophile, 9.27.24 “ the best new jamband in New York… a brisk mid-80s Talking Heads pulse...like more focused mid-70s Can... It’s rare that you find a new band with this kind of chops or telepathy.” -New York Music Daily, 5.4.23 “Made us ponder, “what if Blink 182 was also Phish?” Undeniably groovy and undeniably cool.” -Grimes Square, 2.17.25
