Brooklyn-based producer After Wes makes modern, exploratory dance music that transcends traditional nightlife settings. In the spirit of many of his musical inspirations and contemporaries, Wes loves to incorporate elements of his physical and emotional surroundings into his work. His trademark sound is modern, melodic, and deftly textured, informed by both the hip-hop he grew up on and the hyperpop he came of age with. By playfully balancing experimentation with an intuitive understanding of “what just sounds good,” Wes is able to create his most infectious songs whenever and wherever the mood strikes — at a coffee shop in a new neighborhood, in an aisle seat on an airplane, or on a park bench in a bustling city square. The result? An ever-growing, kaleidoscopic catalog of dance music that gives glitter to everyday life.
