Forged in the isolation of winter 2021, Agatha is Dead! quickly evolved from a post-punk experiment into one of Berlin’s most urgent new bands. The lineup — Lilly Bartholomew-Günther (vocals, guitar), Noah Oisin O’Donoghue (guitar, vocals), Joey Ramone Hansen (drums), and Arthur Melzow (bass) — balance ferocity with atmosphere, turning isolation into momentum. Diffus praised them as “a perfect example that neither Alternative Rock nor Post-Punk is asleep — a dynamic and dark-emotional sound that can set dancefloors alight.” Meanwhile, Post-Punk.com remarked: “word spreads quickly when a band burns this brightly.” Agatha is Dead! is fast becoming one of the most uncompromising new bands around.
