AJ Lipton is an Austin-based singer-songwriter from the Catskill Mountains of New York. His debut solo EP, The Catskill Country Gentleman, was recorded at a residential studio in the Catskills and produced by Jason Robert Blum. The sessions feature Jim Weider of The Band on guitar, Brian Mitchell (Levon Helm's Dirt Farmer Band) on keys, Jeff Hill on bass, and Aaron Johnston on drums. Lipton plays around Austin with his band The Light Aluminum. A full-length album, co-produced by Jim Weider, follows this fall.
