Alex E.T.

Emerging from ever-evolving California underground, Los Angeles based songwriter/guitarist Alex E.T. (Alexandra Elaine Tapié) comes out swinging in full technicolor on her latest album Color of Strange out on Curation Records. With producer Ethan Miller (Heron Oblivion, Howlin’ Rain, Comets on Fire) and engineer Eric Bauer (Ty Segall, Osees, Wand) at the controls, Alex E.T. and her band deliver a mix of swirling, crunching guitars with high caliber, pop-infused songcraft. MOJO praised the album’s “soup of electric guitar howl and brooding intensity,” with producer Miller calling it “a rough-cut chunk of Los Angeles' grand musical myth in a bottle.” Now pared down to a lean, mean power trio and rechristened The Alex E.T. Three, the live act is tighter, louder, and more focused than ever. With supporting members Glenn Aucoin (drums) and Ryan Orvis (bass), the band delivers guitar-forward indie rock laced with psychedelic flare, and the melodic instincts of classic power pop with serious live energy. The Alex E.T. Three recently played with Dead Meadow at Pappy & Harriet’s and have performed with Primitive Ring, The Spyrals, Michael Beach, and Jessica Lea Mayfield. They are currently recording a new album and performing new, unreleased material while preparing for a string of West Coast show dates in 2026.
