An underground chamber folk artist.
Singer-songwriter since she was wee, Alice bathes in a music-hall kinda zip, and brushes her guitar in fits of finger-picking. Borrowing from the forefathers and frolicking with her peers, she weaves her songs intricately between chamber-folk and avant-pop, warbling and whispering her lyrics, swollen with pictures and playful quips, into melodies of cheerful melancholy. Nestled somewhere between Sibylle Baier and Paul McCartney, bearing some semblance to Aldous Harding perhaps, she'll have you trailing her inflences, nodding in agreement, and surely, you’ll have another slice...
Alice George Perez plays a whimsical blend of chamber-folk, choral avant-pop, and vintage music-hall styles.
Her debut album is titled A Song with the Title of Lunch Bells.
