Álvaro del Valle is a guitarist, composer, and producer whose music blends contemporary jazz, folk influences, and electronic textures. His work is rooted in improvisation and the exploration of new sonic landscapes, often incorporating electronics to expand the expressive possibilities of live performance. He has performed at festivals and concert halls in Europe, the Americas, and Asia, including Jazz in Marciac, the San Sebastián Jazz Festival, the Aalborg Superblast Jazz Festival, the European Jazz Festival in Central America, and the Festival des Rives & des Notes in France, where he received the Best Instrumentalist Award. As a bandleader, Álvaro presents his new album “Agua”, featuring Naíma Acuña on drums, Reinier Elizarde “El Negrón” on double bass, Iñigo Ruiz de Gordejuela on piano, Zoe Celeste Iacono on vocals, and Román Filiú on saxophone. This project reflects his personal vision, combining melodic and rhythmic elements from different traditions with the language of modern jazz. In addition to his acoustic work, Álvaro experiments with interactive systems, integrating motion capture, live sampling, and electronic processing into his performances. His artistic approach seeks to connect improvisation and technology, creating immersive and evolving sound experiences for contemporary audiences.
