Amanda Barise is a rising Alt-R&B/Jazz artist known for her powerhouse vocals, emotional depth, and bold originality. A finalist on American Idol Season 23, she earned praise from legends like Josh Groban, Jelly Roll, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie (“That’s what we call a possession”) and Carrie Underwood who called her “a once in a generation vocalist.” Her viral studio performance of “Defying Gravity” with Third Reprise has surpassed 40 million views across platforms, and her 2024 single “fall for you” has surpassed 1 million Spotify streams. Amanda’s post-Idol EP Cute & Deadly (out now) showcases her unique blend of soul, jazz, and alt-R&B across three autobiographical tracks — including the fiery “Girl Like Me” and the reflective “26.” Post EP she has released a handful of soulful soundtracks cementing her place in the alt-jazz scene. She’s contributed BGV & lead vocals to R&B legend Joe, indie favorites Melt and TimaLikesMusic. She has also released a Top 5 Soul Vox Pack on Splice. Based in NYC and raised in New Jersey, Amanda is a double New School graduate with both a BA + BFA, and a proud recipient of the Alice and John Coltrane Award of Excellence from The New School of Performing Arts.
