Andrew Gutauskas is an award winning saxophonist, composer, and music director whose work bridges jazz, rock, and experimental sound. Known for his powerful baritone saxophone voice, he’s a core member, arranger, and music director of the genre bending group Brass Against, whose take on “Wake Up” appeared in The Matrix Resurrections. Andrew has performed and recorded with a wide range of acclaimed ensembles, from Miho Hazama’s M_Unit and Few of a Kind to Charlie Rosen’s 8-Bit Big Band, and his work spans major films, TV, Broadway productions, and over 50 studio recordings. As a solo artist, he explores the intersection of sound, awareness, and improvisation. His ambient release Awake (Jan. 2026) marks his first dive into experimental saxophone textures, following his earlier jazz projects Look Up! and Look Out! on Outside In Music. A Juilliard graduate and faculty member at The New School, Andrew continues to push the baritone saxophone into new creative territory while collaborating across genres and mediums.
