An underground art rock act.
Antenna The End (AtE) is a Progressive Pop, Art Rock band spearheaded by Armenian American Songwriter & Producer, David Hakopyan. David got his start in his teens as the original bass player of LA Metal band Soil, (later to call themselves System of a Down (Columbia Records). Metal felt too constrictive for David’s vast musical palette, this led him to start the alt-progressive rock band, The Apex Theory (Dreamworks Records) David played bass and wrote for The Apex Theory ’til 2008. A few years after The Apex Theory dissolved, Hakopyan felt a certain void, songs started coming, ideas started flowing… AtE was born during this transitional moment in David's Life. Writing only as inspiration came knocking. After some years of inspiration, and lots of knocking, David and the AtE crew are ready to release this Music! AtE is rounded out by the heartfelt guitar stylings & angelic harmonies of Tadeh Petrossian, the youthful guitar strutting of Heros Gabri, both from Glendale Ca, & the bombastic precision drumming of Mr. Brock Bowers, originally hailing from Dallas, TX. Although the live line-up has been revolving & evolving, Tadeh, Brock & now, Heros, have been main stays in the group, bringing loads of passion & energy to the AtE sound. This is the first time David has ever stepped up to the mic, becoming yet another bassist/vocalist whose songs just aren’t the same unless he’s singing it, (i.e. Les Claypool, Sting, Mark Sandman and of course Kip Winger!)
