An underground neoclassical artist.
Antonio Cortesi is an off the grid cellist and composer in love with breaking boundaries. Beyond his classical background, he brought in his activity a strong influence from minimalism, experimental and neo-classical music. After graduating with full marks and honors in cello performance and chamber music, Antonio enlarged his vision collaborating with authors, dancers as well as theater directors and contemporary composers. He currently plays a cello built by Custode Marcucci in 1920 granted by his hometown municipality. A Delicate Revolution is the title of his first album and it's just the first step to reimagine the cello. New concerts and new music coming soon...
Antonio Cortesi plays contemporary neoclassical and ambient music centered around innovative cello compositions and minimalist electronics.
Antonio Cortesi is based in Italy and completed his studies at the B. Maderna Conservatory in Cesena.
