A polished, underground villancicos act.
AP Big Band PLAYS RADIOHEAD is now a reality. Released on the Youkali Music label and recorded and mastered by Caco Refojo (4 Latin Grammy Awards and 23 Nominations) at PKO Studios, a leading studio in Europe, the album accurately reflects the initial idea of combining a classic line-up with the sound and production of the contemporary world. Renowned collaborators such as Pucho (Vetusta Morla), Sheila Blanco, Roy Mercurio (Dremen) or Jorge Vistel join this instrumental jazz network, enriched by exponents of indie music and hip-hop. Its ten songs complete a musical review of the mythical British band, with exclusive arrangements that take advantage of all the power of a big band that has been playing in multiple festivals and on stages since 2013 - young and dynamic, full of great instrumentalists and arrangers. Radiohead is a legendary band that revolutionized the music scene in the 1990s and 2000s, leaving their mark on an entire generation thanks to their ability to move between pop-rock and experimentation. This year they have released their ninth album, "A Moon Shaped Pool", an immediate classic. Would you like to be able to listen to Radiohead for the first time again? To celebrate 25 years of their musical debut, AP Big Band has put all its talent and work in to apply the possibilities of the language of jazz, electronic music and even hip-hop to this new vision of the music from the Oxford Quintet.
AP Big Band plays contemporary jazz and large ensemble arrangements, most notably known for their intricate, horn-driven reinterpretations of Radiohead's catalog released on Youkali Music.
