An underground dubstep artist.
Artefex is Alex Garcia making emotional bass music about what the mind does when it cannot carry something cleanly. The songs come from anxiety turning physical, grief rewriting memory, attachment becoming certainty, and dissociation making the world feel unreal. They are less interested in explaining those states than putting you inside them. Vulnerable rap vocals cut through distorted atmosphere, aggressive drums, trap, dubstep, drum and bass, cinematic low end, and alien sound design. The genre changes with the nervous system. Love and Loss follows a breakup. Pandemic is crisis and survival (SC only). Echoes looks back with accountability. Non-Human Intelligence turns a break with reality into an alien-abduction story. Under the science fiction is a mind coming apart, building worlds to survive what happened, and trying to find its way back. Every track is written and produced solo in Ableton. The goal is simple: give internal chaos a form you can hear.
