Proudly representing San José, California, Ash Puddle is a rock band that pulls its influences from many different eras and sounds, from 90s grunge, to 70s prog, to modern-day indie rock, and even regional Mexican music. Its founding and current members are: Matt Abraham (lead guitar and vocals), CJ Ajlouny (drums and vocals), Chuck Barber (bass), and Patrick “Paddy” Ryan (rhythm guitar). Ash Puddle was founded in June 2022 when Paddy asked some high school friends the all important question of, “Do you want to start a band?” Soon after, they began writing and playing music together, you know, as a band does. The band released their debut EP “The Boy” in November of 2023. “The Boy” was written, rehearsed, and partly recorded in CJ’s garage. They are currently working on their next release which they plan on releasing in the Summer of 2025.
