Athanatos
An underground, high-energy black metal act.
Tracks5
Athanatos began as an atmospheric one man black metal project from Thessaloniki, Greece. Formed by Ruin during winter 2023, they released two demo EP's, and the debut album titled "Tales from the womb of elsewhere" on September 19th, with the first single, Conqueror of realms released on 18/8. In November 2025 the band made their first live appearance with Thy Light. Since then, they are to share the stage with acts such as Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult and Dødsferd during October of 2026. Their sound is characterized by an epic and atmospheric feel. While reminiscent of black metal's early melodic roots, the album has a more modern sound, which emphasizes the lyrics fueled by misanthropy, greek pagan tradition and mythology, and the struggles of war in ancient times.
