Avalon Tassonyi is a Canadian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and collaborator. From 2012-2019, Avalon released a number of experimental pop-rock recordings as Inland Island. In 2022 they released a folky debut LP under their own name. Their sophomore album, Candlelightning (2023), is a mix of indie-rock, folk, and alt-country songs. LP3 “Sprigs & Brush”, a soft acoustic offering, arrived in February 2024. Avalon also frequently collaborates with friends including pop-leaning singer-songwriter and Vain Mina Records labelmate Eliza Niemi and psych-country artist Whitney K.
