A nostalgic pop act.
Baccara 2000 was a dance-pop project established in late 1999 by original member Mayte Mateos and Cristina Sevilla. The duo reinterpreted their classic 1970s disco hits through high-energy eurodance and club-oriented production. Though the moniker was short-lived before reverting back to the traditional name, their releases brought a fresh turn-of-the-millennium club aesthetic to their timeless vocal style.
Baccara 2000 plays upbeat dance-pop and eurodance, notably updating the classic 1970s disco sound of the Spanish vocal duo with modern late-90s club production.
