A homegrown, underground symphonic metal act.
Belle Morte is a band from Belarus, currently based in Poland, playing dark symphonic metal with gothic/progressive flavor and melancholic vibe. Debut band’s EP Game On was released in 2018. In 2021 the band signed a deal with Italian label Wormholedeath to release their full-length conceptual album Crime of Passion inspired by John Fowles’s “The Collector”. Album tells a coherent story which started as an unhealthy obsession and stalking and resulted in murder, both from the side of the murderer and his victim. The second band’s album Pearl Hunting marks a bold new direction, incorporating a diverse range of ethnic instruments and musical traditions from across the globe. The album features collaborations with musicians from 12 different countries, integrating instruments like the Ukrainian bandura, Japanese shamisen, Celtic bouzouki, and Mongolian morin khuur, creating a rich fusion of symphonic metal and world music. At the core of Belle Morte's art is the exploration of contrasts and dualities. Through their music, lyrics, and visual imagery, Belle Morte challenges their audience to look beyond the surface and find the beauty in the unexpected. Whether exploring the bleak landscapes of the Finnish tundra, the steppes of Mongolia, or the deserts of the Middle East, Belle Morte invites listeners on a journey through the shadows of the human experience..
Belle Morte plays dark symphonic and gothic metal infused with global ethnic instruments and folk elements.
Their notable releases include the conceptual album Crime of Passion and the globe-spanning record Pearl Hunting.
