Carried by the magnetic voice of Rosemary Standley and the vibrant cello of Dom La Nena, this singular repertoire weaves links between eras and styles: songs by Bronski Beat, The Cure and The Doors dialogue with an aria by Stefano Landi, a song by Barbara and traditional English sining. The Maîtrise de Radio France, conducted by Sofi Jeannin, brings a choral light to this deeply moving ensemble. With Nuées Ardentes, Birds on a Wire have made an album that is both intimate and incandescent.
