An underground, homegrown black metal act.
BJES is the shadow of darkness, the embodiment of fear and materialization of the ideas of horror lurking in the heart of each of us... The lyrics are mainly symbolic, capturing images of dreams and landscapes based on mysticism rooted in old Slavic mythology and demonology. BJES is a Czech depressive-post-black metal band, founded in 2018 by guitarist, singer and poet RedBolow (EntireGain, Vrtnejrop) and drummer The Beast (Sukkhu). The early days of BJES originated in raw-black metal with an old Slavic theme with songs such as (Kračun, Černoboh, Náv). In 2019 the second guitarist joined the band for a short while: Jan (Plague Porter, Mallephyr), then he was replaced by Larsson (Kireru) in 2021. The sound of the band took a more atmospheric direction and songs such as (Vlci, Morana, Končina, Blázne, Veď mne) were composed. In 2022 Larsson changed to bass guitar and the guitarist Ulwerson (Úl, Dærrwin) joined the band. Both gentleness and creeping darkness were incorporated in the existing songs. In February 2023 BJES released their first EP titled "Prázdnota" featuring the songs "Blázne" and "Veď mne". In November 2023 BJES released the first full length album ("Končina"), which includes the songs "Vlci", "Morana", "Končina", "Blázne" and "Veď mne".
