Block of Flats

Block of Flats (Porvoo, Finland) creates powerful and charismatic alternative rock and metal, combining different styles of music in a bold and unique way. Their sound brings together melodic pop choruses, heavy metal riffs topped with electronic elements and creative arrangements. The band is especially known for their energetic live performances, which have been seen at Finland’s biggest rock festivals and clubs all around Europe. Their debut album, No Hope For The Hopeless, was released at the end of 2023. From the very first singles, the songs from the album have been played on the radio and international playlists, gathering listeners across Europe and the United States. The band is part of Ranka Kustannus and Backbone Management’s roster, which has raised them among the top Finnish rock and metal acts (including Blind Channel, The Rasmus, VV). In the fall of 2025, the band went on a month-long European tour alongside The Rasmus and The Funeral Portrait and claimed their place in the international music scene. The recordings for Block of Flats’ second studio album are underway, with some of the top names in the Finnish metal scene, like Alex Mattsson and Niko Moilanen, involved in production. The band’s goal is clear: to become one of Finland’s most exciting rock/metal bands.
