Brian Carpenter & the Confessions are a Boston-based band led by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Brian Carpenter (Beat Circus, Ghost Train Orchestra). Their "dignified darkness" (Stereogum) transports the listener to another world filled with haunting imagery, reverb-drenched guitar, and Carpenter's dry baritone evoking desire, loss, loneliness, and separation. It was mixed by Craig Schumacher (Calexico, Neko Case) in Tucson, Arizona. "Brian Carpenter & The Confessions exude the sort of dignified darkness you would expect given the company he keeps...bound to become a big name" -- Chris DeVille, Stereogum Images by Heather Byington
